Pan Ohio Hope Ride cyclists, volunteers, and supporters are invited to attend an American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Ohio – ACS CAN press event in downtown Columbus on Tuesday, May 7.
To rally support for a request of $170,000 from Ohio’s capital budget for structural updates to the Cleveland Hope Lodge, we will kick off Ohio Cancer Action Day with a short bike ride to and around the Ohio Statehouse.
UPDATED SCHEDULE
- 8:30 – Breakfast at Columbus Sheraton/Plaza Hotel on Capitol Square
- 9:45 – Riders depart the hotel for the Ohio Statehouse; non-riding supporters go directly to William McKinley Memorial where the press event will take place
- 10:00 – Cyclists ride around the Statehouse
- 10:15 – Pan Ohio participants join ACS CAN for the press event to share with the media what the Cleveland Hope Lodge means to them and request support for the funding proposal
- 11:00 – Ride back to the hotel, wrap up, and join the rest of Cancer Action Day, if you can stay; secure bike storage will be available at the hotel
