Congratulations, Create Your Own 328 Riders, on Finishing Strong in 2023!

July felt both long and short for us. It feels like just last week that we were kicking off the Create Your Own 328 virtual ride, and yesterday we were traveling from Cleveland to Cincinnati with our four-day, in-person riders.

But, of course, it wasn’t. Now, we’ve reached the end of July, and it’s time to ring our virtual bells, whistles, and cheer as our CYO328 riders finish up their month-long journey to ride and raise money to support the Cleveland Hope Lodge.

We are so proud of you – the riders who headed out without fanfare or support to ride 5, 10, 15, or 50 miles at a time – all the while continuing to appeal to potential donors. To all of you we shout out:

And, remember, fundraising book doesn’t close until Thursday, August 31, 2023, to allow everyone a chance to get those last donations and matches submitted for the 2023 Pan Ohio Hope Ride at pohr.org.

POHR 2023: THIS is our Virtual Start Line for our Create Your Own 328 (Hope) Riders

Today, a  dedicated group of cyclists who can’t join us for the in-person Pan Ohio Hope Ride – traveling from Cleveland to Cincinnati, July 20 to July 23 – will kick off their own virtual Hope Rides. 

These “Create Your Own 328” riders will cycle 328 miles during the month, wherever they are and whenever they can. There are no hard and fast rules or restrictions. They can ride all their miles in a few days or chip away at the goal a little every day during the month. 

As we’re fond of saying, POHR is a ride, not a race – the race is to help end cancer as we know it, for everyone. And all of our riders, wherever they may be, are helping do just that. Since there is no formal start or finish line, we wanted to create a virtual Start Line right here!

Ohio Cyclists: There’s still time to join the 2023 Pan Ohio Hope Ride!

Cycling Enthusiasts: There’s still plenty of time to sign up to join the 2023 American Cancer Society Pan Ohio Hope Ride, Thursday, July 20 through Sunday, July 23, 2023. This fully supported charity bicycle tour of Ohio travels from Cleveland to Cincinnati in four legs, with overnight stays at Ohio college campuses. 

Don’t feel like you can tackle four days? We have one-day or two-day options with lower registration fees and fundraising requirements.

Can’t make it that weekend? Sign up to Create Your Own 328 ride; registration is only $35, and there’s no fundraising minimum. Then, ride the 328 miles wherever and whenever you choose – as longer rides or riding an average 11 miles a day – in the month of July. 

All registered participants receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and finisher medal AND can earn incentive points based on funds raised and other activities.

Proceeds from funds raised through the 2023 POHR will support the Cleveland Hope Lodge. Money raised in excess of the operational budget will support other American Cancer Society Hope Lodges, where necessary.
