Pan Ohio Hope Ride History

The Pan Ohio Hope Ride began in 2005 with an idea by an American Cancer Society National Board member, Kathleen Bond, to put together a fundraising event spotlighting the two American Cancer Society Hope Lodges that are located in Ohio.  The event would be a cycling event traveling from the Hope Lodge in Cleveland and ending at the Hope Lodge in Cincinnati over four days.

In August 2007, just over 50 cyclists rolled out on the Inaugural Pan Ohio Hope Ride.  Now in its ninth year.  The Pan Ohio Hope Ride has grown to more than 500 cyclists and in 2015 we expect at least 500 cyclists again and hope to raise more than $800,000 for the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodges and other critical programs in the fight against cancer.  Since the ride’s inception the Pan Ohio Hope Ride has raised more than $3.8 million dollars for the fight against cancer!

From this event, another Hope Ride has been formed and in 2013 we are introducing the Inaugural Pennsylvania Hope Ride on June 26-27, 2015 which will be traveling from the Hershey Hope Lodge to the Astra Zeneca Hope Lodge in Philadelphia.  For more infomration visit
